TELL Course Week 2 : Technology for Teaching Writing



On the second meeting of TELL Course with Mr. Tubagus Zam Zam Al-Arif, S,Pd. M,Pd. On Monday, January 27, 2020, We discuss about Technology for Teaching Writing. At this meeting the lecturer also presented a video that helped us understand teaching writing

In this video discusses what technologies we can use in teaching writing and in this video one example of technology that we can use is a word processor such as Microsoft Word, Google Doc, and others that is very suitable to use because there is one feature that very helpful for us in writing the Grammar Checker which we can use to check the structure of our writing and improve it.

And in this meeting we were divided into several groups and we were assigned to make syllabus from each English skill namely Writing, Listening, Reading, Speaking, Grammar, and Vocabulary, including with any technology that can be used in the learning process

TELL Course Week 8 : Create a Question using Hot Potatoes

At this eighth meeting On Monday, March 09, 2020. We were assigned to make a question or quiz using one application called Hot Potatoes.  The Hot Potatoes suite includes five applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you like. It is not open-source. By using Hot Potatoes, we can make our own test online.  There are six features that can be used to create questions or quizzes with various forms in this Hot Potatoes application, including: l multiple-choice quizzes (JBC) l gap-fill exercises (JClose) l text-entry (short-answer) exercises (JQuiz) l crosswords (JCross) l jumbled-sentence/jumbled-word (drag-and-drop) exercises (JMix) l ordering/matching (drag-and-drop) exercises (JMatch ) This is one example of multiple choice questions that I made using the JQuiz
